Lexi and Cody’s Catalina Island elopement is a love story intertwined with the beauty of Catalina Island, where they decided to elope in the vibrant springtime. As frequent vacationers to the island, they shared a special connection with this picturesque destination. It was on the Green Pier, where Cody proposed to Lexi, making Catalina Island the obvious choice for their elopement.
“Jenn is absolutely the best. I came across her on Google when looking up “Catalina elopements” and after the first zoom call we had, I knew she was the perfect person to hire for our elopement! Jenn was in constant communication with me the whole 8 months prior to our elopement and would answer any questions that came up. The makeup artist she referred was an absolute dream! Jenn created a checklist that made getting all the little things done as stress-free as possible and created the perfect timeline for our day. On the day of our elopement, my husband and I felt like we were with a friend the whole time rather than our photographer, and her second shooter was also amazing! Our elopement was exactly what we wanted in our favorite place thanks to Jenn!”
Getting Ready at Atwater Hotel
Their elopement day commenced with getting ready moments captured in their hotel room at the charming Atwater Hotel. After Lexi slipped into her dress, she shared a heartfelt “first look moment” with her father. The raw emotion captured during this intimate exchange made for unforgettable memories.
With excitement in the air, the bride and groom had their own “first look moment” by an iconic tiled fountain in the city center. We seized the opportunity to capture some stunning photos before meeting their loved ones and embarking on a short but adventurous walk to the ceremony location.

As part of their adventure elopement, we made a stop at a charming pizza shop in town. I love how these candid photos truly captured their playful spirits.
Elopement Day Activity – Go on an Adventurous Boat Ride on your Wedding Day
A highlight of their day was a boat ride, one of their favorite activities on the island. Renting a boat from Joe’s Rent A Boat, a favorite activity they do together when they vacation to Catalina Island. After I captured enough memories of them on the boat, they went off by themselves and explored the island’s coastline. One thing I love about elopements is the opportunity that couples have to go off and spend time together during the day!
