Early October in Yosemite is hard to beat, and Brian and Crystal were treated to a stunning fall morning with calm weather and soft light. They chose a “just us” elopement, which made their Cathedral Beach Picnic Area wedding feel incredibly peaceful and intentional. At sunrise, they exchanged personal vows with the Merced River flowing beside them, and I had the honor of pronouncing them married 🌅💍. We had the entire beach to ourselves—pure Yosemite magic.

One of my favorite parts of their elopement was how fearlessly they embraced their own style. Brian’s burnt orange suit was bold and perfect for fall, while Crystal’s embroidered wedding dress felt romantic and unique. From their wedding rings to their attire, every detail reflected who they are as a couple—and I absolutely loved that they didn’t follow the rules.
Exploring Yosemite from Sunrise to Moonrise 🌄🌕
After their ceremony, we explored iconic Yosemite locations, including Yosemite Falls and Cook’s Meadow with Half Dome towering in the background. In the afternoon, we reconvened and hiked to my favorite sunset spot for golden-hour portraits. As night fell, a full moon rose over the park, giving us the most dreamy nighttime photos to end the day ✨🌕
