Kat and Ryan’s Glacier Point elopement was a deeply meaningful celebration rooted in love, family, and adventure. Yosemite National Park holds special significance for them—it’s where they got engaged—so choosing it as the place to say their vows felt like coming full circle. From the beginning, they knew they wanted to elope in Yosemite with their immediate family present, keeping the day intimate and intentional 🤍.
Sunrise Ceremony at Glacier Point 🌅
We started their elopement day just before sunrise with a touching first look between Kat and her dad 🤍—a quiet, emotional moment before the day officially began. Afterward, her dad walked her “down the aisle” to see Ryan, kicking off an intimate ceremony surrounded by their immediate family at Glacier Point. As golden light spilled across the valley, Kat and Ryan exchanged heartfelt vows in a ceremony officiated by Ryan’s dad—a moment that felt incredibly personal and emotional. After family photos, we continued exploring Glacier Point together before venturing to other iconic areas of the park, stopping by waterfalls and open meadows for portraits along the way 📸.
A Smoky, Ethereal Yosemite Landscape 🌫️
Their elopement took place during a time of surrounding wildfires, and the distant smoke created a hazy, atmospheric backdrop across the mountains. Rather than taking away from the experience, the haze added a mysterious, ethereal quality that made the scenery feel dramatic and uniquely Yosemite.

Kat’s floral embroidered wedding dress was absolutely breathtaking and deserves its own spotlight. Kat’s dress was incredibly eye-catching, with delicate floral details that mirrored the natural beauty of Yosemite itself. She received compliments all day long from hikers and park visitors, and it’s easy to see why. The embroidery added texture, movement, and personality, making her look effortlessly elegant while still perfectly suited for an adventurous Glacier Point elopement.
Sunset Vows, Hot Chocolate & Moonlit Yosemite Moments 🌄☕️
After lunch with family, we met again in the late afternoon for a sunset hike to one of my favorite locations in the park. As the sun began to set, Kat and Ryan shared private vows—emotional, intimate, and incredibly moving. Capturing moments like that is such an honor.
To end the day, they did one of their favorite things together: making hot chocolate at the destination and watching the sunset side by side ☕️💛. We stayed through dusk to capture dreamy blue hour photos as the sky softened into cool tones and the landscape grew quiet. As night fully set in, we even captured romantic moon photos, closing out their Glacier Point elopement with a sense of wonder and adventure. 🌙💙
