This was an elopement styled shoot. Jenn and Jeff began their Santa Barbara horseback riding elopement with an intimate “just us” ceremony at the iconic Santa Barbara Courthouse. Unlike most courthouses, this one is full of rich history, stunning Spanish architecture, and vibrant tile details—making it one of the most beautiful places to say your vows. After their ceremony, we wandered the grounds capturing playful, romantic portraits that truly reflected their connection.
From Historic Charm to Adventure
Their day quickly shifted into a true Santa Barbara adventure elopement as we met up with a local rancher for the next part of their experience. Riding through scenic trails lined with eucalyptus trees and a fragrant lemon grove, this felt like something out of a dream. Riding Along the Ocean
The most magical part of their Santa Barbara horseback riding wedding was arriving at the beach just in time to ride along the shoreline. There are very few places in the world where you can ride horses right along the ocean, and Santa Barbara is one of those rare gems. Even more incredible—we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves.
Sunset, Celebration, and a Splash
As the sun began to set, Jenn and Jeff enjoyed a cozy beach picnic complete with a charcuterie board and sparkling champagne. The golden light, the sound of the waves, and the quiet intimacy made the moment feel surreal. To end their wedding day, they ran hand in hand into the ocean—laughing, carefree, and completely in the moment.
