Keneisha always dreamed of getting married in the mountains. While initially trying to plan a larger wedding in North Carolina, her home state, she quickly realized that a big celebration wasn’t right for her and Jeremiah. That’s when she discovered eloping—and ultimately fell in love with Yosemite National Park.
Why Yosemite in the Fall Was the Perfect Fit 🍂
Keneisha loves autumn and the mountains, so a Sentinel Beach wedding in late October made perfect sense. Yosemite is especially stunning during this time of year, with massive trees turning vibrant shades of yellow and gold. Jeremiah was immediately excited about the idea, even though neither of them had ever visited Yosemite before.

Their elopement day began in the early morning hours at Sentinel Beach, one of Yosemite’s most peaceful and scenic ceremony locations. Surrounded by a few close loved ones, Keneisha and Jeremiah exchanged heartfelt vows along the Merced River as the sun rose over the valley. After their vows, I officially pronounced them married—marking the start of an unforgettable day.

Following their ceremony, we explored several iconic Yosemite locations, including Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Yosemite Chapel, and El Capitan Meadow. Each spot showcased Yosemite’s dramatic granite monoliths paired with glowing autumn color.
After a celebratory lunch with loved ones at The Ahwahnee Dining Room, the three of us returned to the park for more portraits, champagne by the Merced River 🥂, and sweet treats to celebrate. We ended their elopement day with romantic starry night photos beneath Yosemite’s incredible night sky 🌌.
