Their October elopement began in the early morning hours, under a starry sky. Equipped with headlamps and an adventurous spirit, we set out on a sunrise hike. As we hiked in the darkness, the anticipation grew. When we reached the mountaintop, the sun began its ascent over the eastern mountains, painting the sky with breathtaking hues. Caroline and Ian had brought along personalized coffee mugs, a small but thoughtful detail that made the moment extra special. They shared a warm cup of coffee as the sun lit up the valley below—a quiet, intimate moment just for the two of them.
Intimate Mountain Top Ceremony with Family
After hiking back down, we met up with their family for their mid-morning ceremony. Their parents played a meaningful role in the event, helping to officiate the vows. With panoramic mountain views as their backdrop, Caroline and Ian’s ceremony was deeply personal and full of love.

Following the ceremony, we all gathered at their cozy Airbnb for a breakfast feast. Caroline had envisioned an intimate family meal, and it turned out beautifully. With mimosas and laughter shared around the table, the morning was a perfect blend of celebration and togetherness.
Sunset Hike to Taft Point
In the late afternoon, we set out again for their sunset hike to Taft Point. Though a light mist threatened rain, we were gifted with an ethereal scene. Clouds hung low in the distance, creating a dreamy atmosphere, and as the sun dipped below the horizon, it cast a golden-orange glow across the landscape. It was the perfect ending to Caroline and Ian’s unforgettable Yosemite elopement—a day filled with love, adventure, and nature’s beauty.
