Day one took place in Carmel and Monterey and was all about family. We hiked to a quiet grove surrounded by Redwoods, where Skye and Andrew exchanged vows with their children as witnesses. It was emotional and heartfelt—made even more meaningful by the fact that their blended family truly felt like one big Brady Bunch. Their kids, all close in age, were playful, kind, and completely on board with the celebration.
After the ceremony, we headed to the beach for a cozy bonfire 🔥. They roasted marshmallows, shared laughter, and watched the sun dip below the horizon. It was the kind of relaxed, joyful evening that felt like a true celebration of family and togetherness.
Day Two: From Sunrise to Stars—An Epic Adventure Just for Them 🌅🌌
The next morning, we kicked off a more intimate day focused solely on Skye and Andrew. Starting at sunrise, we explored the best of Big Sur—hiking through majestic Redwoods, wandering along Pfeiffer Beach 🐚, stopping at Bixby Bridge 🌉, and chasing golden light until sunset.
As darkness fell, we ended the evening with magical star photos under a glowing full moon ✨🌌. It was the perfect close to an unforgettable two-day experience.
A Purple Dress & the Freedom of Doing It Your Way 💜
One of the most memorable details? Skye’s wedding dress. Instead of traditional white, she chose a gown that faded into a rich purple—bold, elegant, and uniquely her.
