Peter and Marta’s Two Harbors elopement on Catalina Island was a day full of adventure and natural beauty. The couple chose Two Harbors for their special day, a peaceful, more secluded part of the island compared to bustling Avalon. While Avalon is known for its lively atmosphere, shops, and restaurants, Two Harbors offers a quieter, more laid-back experience, perfect for a private and intimate elopement.
We began the day with a ferry ride from San Pedro, arriving in Two Harbors to start their celebration. After disembarking, we grabbed a quick breakfast at a local cafe before heading out to Cat Harbor for their ceremony. Unlike Avalon, which has a more urbanized feel, Two Harbors’ Cat Harbor is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, with rugged landscapes and a serene atmosphere. Peter and Marta chose a quiet, rocky beach off the main path for their ceremony, and Marta even decided to go barefoot to truly feel connected to the earth.
After the ceremony and a creative portrait session around the harbor, we headed to Big Harbor for lunch. While waiting for the food, Marta collected shells along the shore, and we captured some stunning photos of the couple on the sandy beach.
The fun continued after lunch when the couple decided to try kayaking. Marta had a brilliant idea to wear her veil while kayaking, and despite my initial hesitation, those photos turned out to be some of my favorites from the entire day. It’s always such a joy when brides come up with unique ideas that turn out beautifully.
To wrap up the session, Peter and Marta changed into more casual outfits, and I captured some playful shots of them in the water. It was the perfect end to their fun-filled and adventurous Catalina Island elopement.
