Mel and Jordan’s Yosemite National Park elopement was the perfect blend of intimacy, adventure, and breathtaking beauty. From the very beginning, they knew they wanted a “just us” elopement, and there was no place more fitting than Yosemite for their special day. Melissa had always been captivated by the vistas and views that Yosemite has to offer, while Jordan had his heart set on capturing stunning starry night photos. When they reached out to me, I was thrilled to offer them my sunrise + sunset package, knowing it would fulfill their vision perfectly.
Sunrise Yosemite National Park Elopement
Our day began in the early morning hours, where we were greeted by the soft, golden light of the sunrise. The view of the sun rising over Half Dome was nothing short of magical. We had so much fun capturing those dreamy sunrise photos. The early morning is one of my favorite times in Yosemite. The park is quiet, peaceful, and we had the entire place mostly to ourselves.
Sunset Yosemite Elopement Ceremony
In the afternoon, we reconvened for our sunset hike to my favorite sunset spot! As we arrived at our destination, Mel and Jordan were blessed with the incredible fortune of having this magical area all to themselves. In the warm glow of the setting sun, they read their heartfelt vows to each other! It was a truly intimate moment that I was honored to witness. After pronouncing them married and signing their marriage license, we captured some unforgettable photos as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Elopement Starry Night Photos & Astrophotography
As the night settled in, I took them to a special spot where the Milky Way was visible in all its glory. It was a warm summer night, perfect for starry night photos and elopement astrophotography. We didn’t even need jackets! The starry night photography session was one of the highlights of the day! The Milky Way provided a stunning backdrop for their love story. I hope these photos inspire more couples to include starry night photos in their Yosemite elopement.
