Maggie and Carlos’s Yosemite elopement was a heartfelt celebration of love, connection, and adventure. High school sweethearts who have been together for 16 years, they chose to honor their journey together in one of the most breathtaking places in the world. As their Yosemite photographer, I had the privilege of documenting a full day that was calm, intentional, and deeply meaningful.
Sunrise Vows with a Yosemite Photographer 🌄
A Peaceful Morning in the Mountains
We began the day at sunrise, when Yosemite Valley was quiet and serene. Maggie got ready in my pop-up dressing tent after enjoying professional hair and makeup, and she looked absolutely radiant with her elegant glam style ✨. Carlos complemented her perfectly in a classic all-black suit, timeless and refined.
As the sun rose over the mountains, Maggie and Carlos exchanged personal vows filled with emotion and history. It was Carlos’s very first National Park experience, and Yosemite could not have been a more powerful introduction. I had the honor of pronouncing them married in the soft morning light, surrounded by nature’s stillness.

Half Dome, Valley Views, and Adventure
After their ceremony, we captured stunning portraits with Half Dome rising in the background 🏔️. We later took a midday break before reconvening in the Valley for more portraits in a variety of scenic locations, showcasing Yosemite’s diverse beauty.
As the day came to a close, we finished with lantern-lit photos and starry night portraits 🌌—the perfect ending to an adventurous and intentional elopement day.
