Jinhee & Jason Get Married In Yosemite

Sunrise Elopement Ideas

I was so excited to photograph Jinhee and Jason get married in Yosemite to kick off the first of many times I will be in Yosemite National Park this year! When Jinhee and Jason booked their elopement with me in January, we initially planned an August hike in Yosemite. However, fate had a delightful surprise in store: shortly after booking, Jinhee discovered she was pregnant! We quickly adjusted our plans and decided to elope in May instead. Yosemite in May is a breathtaking spectacle, with lush green meadows and cascading waterfalls creating a picturesque backdrop. We began their sunrise session in one of these verdant meadows.

Korean Hanbok Dress

During Jinhee and Jason’s springtime Yosemite elopement, they honored Jinhee’s Korean heritage by donning traditional Hanbok attire! This made for a few memorable photos at the Yosemite Chapel and the surrounding meadows. The pastel colors and intricate designs of their Hanbok dresses contrasted beautifully with the rustic charm of the chapel. This meaningful tribute to Jinhee’s culture added a rich, personal layer to their elopement. It blended timeless tradition with the stunning beauty of Yosemite. The serene setting of the meadows and the historic ambiance of the chapel provided an adorable backdrop for these cherished moments.
