Iga and Arek’s Yosemite sunrise + sunset elopement was a truly magical experience. Traveling all the way from Poland, they had spent an entire year planning their dream elopement, perfectly timed to coincide with their adventurous California road trip. When they reached out to me, they knew exactly where they wanted to say their vows—Yosemite National Park, a place renowned for its breathtaking beauty and serene landscapes. I was thrilled to help them plan their summer elopement, ensuring every detail was just right for their special day.
Sunrise Elopement in Yosemite National Park
The day of the elopement was clear and sunny, with perfect temperatures setting the stage for a memorable experience. We began the morning at sunrise, a time when Yosemite’s beauty is truly unparalleled. As the first rays of sunlight crept over the mountain ridges, the park was bathed in a warm golden glow, providing a stunning backdrop for the start of Iga and Arek’s elopement session. The tranquility of the morning, coupled with the breathtaking views, made for an unforgettable start to their day.
Yosemite Hiking Elopement
After a refreshing lunch break, we regrouped for the afternoon session, which involved hiking one of Yosemite’s most picturesque trails. The hike was full of surprises, including a delightful encounter with a family of deer. As we trekked through the mountains, we were treated to awe-inspiring vistas of waterfalls and expansive landscapes. After a few miles, we took a break for snacks, and Iga and Arek used my pop-up dressing tent to change into their wedding attire, ready for their sunset ceremony.
Yosemite Sunset Elopement Ceremony
The sunset location was nothing short of spectacular. In the quiet of the mountain air, Iga and Arek exchanged heartfelt vows on the cliff edges, with the golden sun casting its warm rays over them. As an ordained elopement photographer, I had the honor of pronouncing them married and signing their marriage license. We captured the most heartfelt moments as the sun dipped below the mountains, creating a perfect ending to their elopement. As darkness fell, we packed up and hiked out, leaving Yosemite’s beauty behind but carrying with us memories that will last a lifetime.
