Kauai Adventure Part 1

For those of you that didn’t know, I decided to skip the latter part of winter and headed to Kauai! I feel very fortunate that I was able to do that and will always remember those fun memories, the amazing people I met and spent time with. Lately I’ve been more conscientious of opportunities that come my way and have been more intentional about taking them.  I’ve never been a fan of the mentality and saying, “There’s always next time.” There is rarely a “next time.” Traveling is one of those things that you will never have enough time or money for which means you have to make it a huge priority or else it will never happen. When I was 22 I read, “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: What I Learned While Editing My Life.” By Donald Miller. Every year since then I’ve read that book once a year and every time I find it incredibly inspiring. It transformed my perspective on things and reminds me every time why it’s so important to be intentional about how I live my life. The richer story I live, the richer the stories I can photograph and tell.
