Andrea and Anthony knew right from the beginning that an intimate elopement was for them! Andrea’s family owns a catering business and caters to large weddings all the time so when experiencing this she knew that a big wedding was not for her. Andrea wanted the emphasis of an intimate elopement to be about her and Anthony’s special day. So they decided to have their elopement at Zuma beach in Malibu.

I love when couples tell me that they emphasize having an intimate elopement. One of my favorite things is to share the outdoors with couples. I love helping them have their most memorable adventure yet! Photographing adventure weddings and elopements is what I’m best at, but it’s so much more to me than just a job! I’m here to create an experience centered around what matters to the couple most. I’m so glad I was able to do this for Andrea and Anthony!

Elopement Location at Zuma Beach in Malibu

Zuma beach in Malibu is another one of my favorite beaches here in Malibu for elopements. Zuma Beach is one of the biggest beaches here in Southern California with 1.8 miles of ocean views and 105 acres of property. Giving us plenty of space to roam around and explore. Zuma Beach is popular for swimming as well as surfing. But as Andrea and Anthony’s elopement was in the Fall there weren’t many people out which gave them the perfect “just us” elopement experience.

Beach Elopement Itinerary

Andrea and Anthony had requested to have a lot of space when reading their vows to each other so they could have privacy. We crossed some rocks to get to the sand where there weren’t any other people. And they had the entire beach to themselves! It was such a peaceful scene watching them from afar giggling with each other as the waves lapped their feet amid this majestic scenery in the warm morning light!

I loved capturing Andrea and Anthony together. They are absolutely adorable and have so much love for each other. There wasn’t a single photo I captured of them not smiling or giggling you could feel the love they had for each other.

What I love about the beach is that it always brings out this carefree excitement in people. I would like to believe it’s because your toes are in the sand, sunshine is on your face and the vast landscape gives you the space to feel so much freedom. Whatever it is, I love how everyone’s energy changes for the better when they are at the beach. I could photograph beach elopements every single day and never get sick of them because each one is so different from the next.

When helping couples plan their elopements, it’s important to me to listen and hear what their priorities are. That shapes each elopement into its own unique and personalized day. I’m so grateful to have captured Andrea and Anthony’s elopement at Zuma Beach in Malibu and provided them with an elopement that they envisioned!
