Christie and Ramsey’s Estate elopement at Stone Mountain Estates was so classy and elegant! When Christie and Ramsey were looking for their Malibu elopement photographer, they found my work and originally wanted a beach elopement in Malibu with just friends, however, it morphed into an elopement at Stone Mountain Estate with their immediate family.
Sometimes elopements start out as one thing and morph into something else, and that’s okay! In this case, Christie and Ramsey’s parents really wanted to join, and the rugged beaches weren’t going to fit their physical abilities, BUT It was meant to be because the vibe at Stone Mountain Estate was perfect for Christie and Ramsey.
Stone Mountain Estates
Stone Mountain Estate is one of my favorite venues in Malibu. Its placed on 40 secluded acres near the summit of the Malibu Coastal Range with natural rock formations surrounding it. With a 60-foot helipad that has incredible 360-degree views, an ideal background for anyone getting married!
Wedding Portraits
We started the day at the Calamigos Ranch Resort where we took getting ready, first look, and portrait shots, where Christie and Ramsey were looking extremely dapper! I couldn’t keep my eyes off of Christie as she was wearing such a striking elopement dress. The lace bodice, A-line silhouette with the leg slit, and the long train was so dreamy!
Elopement Ceremony
We then headed to Stone Mountain Estate to capture the ceremony during sunset. One of the main reasons Christie booked with Stone Mountain Estate was for the incredible sunset views and elegant Tuscan-inspired landscape.
In my opinion, the Santa Monica Mountains are one of the most breathtaking places to watch the sunset, as you are higher up in elevation, the sunset looks that much more stunning than it would closer to the ground!
While the sun was setting Christie and Ramsey popped champagne and cheered to the rest of their lives together, devoured some wedding cake, and danced the night away with their first dance under the sunbeams!
Christie and Ramsey’s elopement with family is an excellent example that you can still have a chic and luxurious wedding with just the important people surrounding and celebrating you!
