This remarkable private Maui, Hawaii waterfall elopement and intimate ceremony may be one of the most unforgettable locations I’ve photographed in the last year! I mean who doesn’t want to get married near a blissful waterfall while it’s drizzling onto nearby rocks?! And Maui is the perfect place for a waterfall wedding!
Hawaii Waterfall Elopement Ceremony Location
When I first saw the waterfall I was in awe. This waterfall was unbelievable and the area is quite big. It can easily accommodate a group of 10-15 people and a huge plus is that it’s very accessible, with a short walk to the waterfall.
Elopement Day Itinerary
This elopement began in the middle of the day. We started off meeting for their first look before we walked down to the waterfall. First looks are always my favorite! It’s such an intimate private moment for just the two of you. It allows you to experience the moment together and live in the present moment.
Waterfall Elopement Ceremony
After the first look, we headed down to the waterfall for their intimate ceremony. This may have been my favorite moment of the day. Seeing the couple standing right next to the water with the glistening waterfall in the background surrounded by trees and greenery, it felt like we were in a movie! And the cutest duck decided to join them while they were exchanging vows! The entire ceremony was beyond beautiful!
After the waterfall elopement ceremony, we took some time to do some fun creative portraits around the area. Towards the end of the creative portrait session near the waterfall, we all started to get hungry so we headed to a food truck area and grabbed a bite to eat. One of the many things I love about Maui is the many food trucks around! It’s so convenient to get a bite to eat in between locations. And it’s the perfect time to sit and take a break while I capture some candids!
The whole goal of an elopement with me is to share your love in nature for the day and to “feel like you.”
